How does live wedding painting work?

I paint live during your wedding, capturing the atmosphere and emotion of your day in real time. After the event, the painting is refined in my studio to ensure it is fully polished, protected, and heirloom-quality.

How many hours do you paint on the wedding day?

I paint for up to 6 hours, including early arrival time for background and setup.

How long does it take to receive the finished painting?

Please allow approximately five - seven weeks after your wedding. Oil and acrylic paintings require proper drying time before varnishing to ensure longevity and protection.

What moment will be painted?

Each painting is thoughtfully composed to create the strongest and most timeless final piece. Before your wedding, we’ll discuss your vision, venue layout, and any meaningful details you’d love included.

On the wedding day, I take my own reference photos and spend a brief, dedicated few minutes with you after the ceremony to capture intentional images for the painting. This allows me to recreate a special moment or compose a beautifully balanced scene with ideal lighting and positioning.

This approach ensures your artwork feels refined, natural, and heirloom-worthy — not rushed or crowded.

Much like your photographer, this dedicated time ensures the final piece reflects you at your best.

Will the painting match a specific photo exactly?

While I take reference photos throughout your event, the final painting is thoughtfully composed rather than copied directly from a single image. I select and combine the strongest references to ensure both of you are beautifully represented, with natural expressions, flattering angles, and balanced composition.

This approach allows the artwork to feel timeless and refined — not restricted to a single snapshot.

Can we pose for the painting?

Yes. Posed reference photos are an option, especially for intimate portraits. I will guide you gently to ensure the most natural and flattering result.

Do you paint from photos?

Yes. I use a combination of live painting, on-site observation, and my own reference photography taken during your wedding day.

Do you offer framing for the finished painting?

Yes. Your painting can be completed in a handcrafted hardwood floating frame built from solid black walnut. Framing is completed after studio finishing and delivered ready to hang.

Many couples choose to have their painting artist-finished and framed so it arrives fully complete and ready for display.

Is travel included in the price?

Travel and accommodation fees are not included in the package price and are quoted separately. I travel nationwide and internationally. I always choose cost-effective travel options, prioritizing affordability while ensuring reliable arrival for your event.

Is shipping included?

Yes. Shipping and delivery of your finished painting are fully included in the package price.

Can additional people be added to the painting?

Yes. Additional figures can be added for an extra fee. This can be discussed during planning or added later as an upgrade.

What is your deposit and cancellation policy?

A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your date. If your event is postponed, I will do my best to accommodate a new date. If canceled, the retainer may be applied toward a future commissioned artwork.
